Aristo Club is established.

Founded by Wilhelmina Crosson and others, it meets at the headquarters of the League of Women in Community Service. Its purpose is to provide an intellectual forum for African-American adults and teach African-American history to community residents and students in the Boston schools. The club sponsors the first official Negro History Week program in Boston in 1926 and remains active into the 1970s.
